This is a re-registration of Glorene and 8th for another 10 year term (2026-2035). Though the project was completed in 2004 and the lifespan of project improvements is assumed to be 20 years, BMP RAM scores indicate that the four stormwater BMPs in this project are still functioning at a high level. Additionally, the City is committed to continuing maintenance of all the basins as needed to maintain the current level of performance.
The City plans to maintain treatment BMPs within CSLTB11 based on BMP RAM and NPDES inspections. Dry Basins are considered Essential BMPs and will be maintained by the City Street Maintenance crew on an As-Needed basis. Maintenance will be performed by backhoe and/or hand crew to remove excess sediment from the basin. Emphasis will be placed on restoring the soil to an infiltration rate consistent with the BMP RAM benchmark value. Infiltration Basins (one Essential and one Key BMP) will be maintained in a similar fashion to Dry Basins.
The City plans to inspect all treatment BMPs with CSLTB11 in accordance with the BMP RAM. Additional inspections may be performed if required by NPDES permits, or to assess performance or maintenance needs. Inspections will take place beginning in spring and will continue through the fall. Dry Basins, which are essential BMPs, will be inspected according to the BMP RAM and NPDES permit. Public Works staff will use the Constant Head Permeameter (CHP) to determine the infiltration rate of the basin. Staff will also perform a visual inspection and record results with a GIS application on a field tablet computer. Infiltration Basins will be inspected in a similar fashion. Inspections of all Basins will take place in the late spring or early summer.
