The Logan Creek WQIP was completed in 2007. A 500 year storm on July 20, 2014 required Logan Creek GID to totally clean all filtration devices/cans and rebuild the three collection basins. 2014 invoices for the erosion clean up maintenance are included with the registration. Therefore, the duration of 15 yrs, the max allowable per the Crediting Program Handbook, is appropriate. With regular inspection and maintenance, infrastructure should have a full, long life cycle.

Logan Creek GID consistently maintains its treatment infrastructure. The GID will continue to maintain the BMPs to a functioning condition. Logan Greek GID inspects all devices every spring. 2014 invoices for the erosion clean up maintenance are included with the registration. The 500 year storm on July 20, 2014 required Logan Creek GID to totally clean all filtration devices/cans and rebuild the three collection basins. The attached five pages cover that work.
Infrastructure will be inspected annually at least, and after large storm events. Because these are "supporting" level structures, it does not seem necessary to expend the administrative effort on BMP RAM on these structures, nor is it a requirement under the Crediting Program Handbook. Douglas County recognizes the importance of inspections and maintenance on the functioning condition of BMPs, and will coordinate with the GID maintenance staff to ensure maintenance is performed.
GID maintenance staff puts a high priority on maintenance of the infrastructure. For example, after an outburst of rain in 2014 that completely filled all the basins with sediment, the maintenance staff had the infrastructure in like-new condition within days.

SFR is the only land use within this catchment, and only produces a fraction of the overall loading. Douglas County will continue to coordinate with TRPA to update certificates and gain BMP compliance in this catchment.
Annually, Douglas County will download and analyze BMP compliance within this catchment, and will continue to work with TRPA to increase compliance.
