This registration includes post-2004 treatment BMPs from both the Lower Wood Creek Phase 1 & 2 WQIPs, and the installation of new stormwater improvements within the area covered by the registration during the next 15 years is unlikely. All improvements were in place prior to WY2024 so the establishment date of 10/01/2023 is justified.

It is the responsibility of Washoe County to monitor and maintain all drainage improvements and treatment BMPs. Washoe County will maintain treatment BMPs that fail annual assessments to standards identified in the TRPA BMP Handbook. Annual assessments are used to assess condition/performance and initiate maintenance on an annual basis. Washoe County will use a vactor truck, excavator, hand crew or other methods necessary to maintain treatment BMPs at or better than expected conditions.
Washoe County plans to inspect all key and essential treatment BMPs in accordance with the protocols described in the BMP RAM User Manual V2 (2ndNature, 2015). These inspections are used to assess condition/performance and initiate maintenance on an annual basis. Additional inspections may occur after major precipitation events.
